Conclusion of the course.

My Reflection.

As students at the moment of listening to the teacher saying the word "Evaluation" students automatically think about getting tested, because that's how they have been associating the word, with all kinds of tests along the school period. Many times teachers call themselves as facilitators, just providing with the information but not focusing on the assessment of the students, generally, students do not ask for help, so when the test arrives, the students did not solve his doubts and the teacher was not aware of that, the prominent result is that the student will fail.
Evaluation is not just testing students and grading them, is deeper than that.  Evaluation is not just testing students and grading them, is deeper than that. Helping students to improve their learning is possible by knowing what is wrong, what can be corrected, but it is necessary that students and teachers be aware of what.
Although was a short course was challenging, challenge the students taking in consideration their potential is something that I learned by getting exposed to that. This course overcame my expectations, since the beginning I knew would be challenging. This course is a door to learn new concepts that are necessary ahead in other courses. Many times it is thought that evaluation is easy, it takes a lot of criteria to evaluate to someone, it is not just evaluating, it assesses because as a teacher we are here to helps students to improve their knowledge, not to stick them in a grade. Making videos was a challenge, they were very useful because helped me to really understand the information and not just to memorize it. Using simple but challenging activities as concept mapping, it is hard, because even you know how to elaborate them, structuring the information becomes an art, discriminating information, analyzing it and understanding it, improves a lot the understanding of what is for. Working in teams always is a challenge, and it is something in what I need to work, not to get better grades, but because this profession needs to be united professionals, with one objective, the improvement of the learner's language. I learned that the elaboration of this kind of activities helps you out to really understand the information that is useful to your future as a teacher. The observation of the class was an amazing experience, feeling nervous before entering the classroom, but the confidence students showed me also transmitted it to me. I felt the class passed too fast that I did not realize when it finished. The interview was fast just to solve some doubts but in Spanish, as part of the class, I guess there is always something to improve. Being in the place that I admire by years I just felt happy.

Formative and summative assessment

Formative and Summative Assessment Formative and summative assessment are commonly contrasted, the expert Paul Black put it as a simple example "when the cook tastes the soup it is formative, "when the customer tastes the soup it is summative". Informative assessment teachers and students are provided with feedback during the instruction so they can adjust the ongoing teaching and learning to improve students' achievements. In the meantime, summative assessment is used to evaluate students learning, skill acquisition and academic achievements. In the following video, there will be a short explanation of each concept, ending with a contrast, in order to get a complete understanding of the formative and summative assessment a concept map will be developed explaining both concepts. The formative and summative assessment helps to assess students, separated have their advantages and disadvantages, as we already discuss that a continued assessment works p
